Daily Closing
Review a branch business day, resolve cash-drawer blockers, and preserve the final report.
What Daily Closing is for
From Finance > Overview, choose Daily Closing when you need to review and close one branch business day. It summarizes account balances, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, collections, cash drawers, and the audit trail for the selected date.
Daily Closing is a control and reporting step, not a second place to record money. Use Transactions for deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and statement reconciliation. Use Cashier & Safes for patient collections and physical cash.
Resolve cash-drawer blockers
Choose the business date and read the blocker list. Only open daily cashier sessions for that branch and date prevent closure. Return to Cashier & Safes, count and close every listed drawer, then refresh Daily Closing. Bank accounts, safes without daily sessions, and other non-daily accounts do not block the close.
Review the day
Before closing, check the opening and closing balances, money in and out, sales and collections, category totals, transfers, related-person activity when used, cash differences, and audit entries. Investigate a surprising total from its source transaction instead of adding a balancing transaction.
Close, print, or reopen
Choose Close Business Day after the review. Kashef saves a final snapshot and protects the covered movements from ordinary editing. Use Print Preview or Download PDF for the final report.
If a correction is necessary, a user with the dedicated reopen permission must choose Reopen Business Day and enter a reason. Correct the source record, review the whole day again, and close it again. The original snapshot and every reopen or correction remain in the audit history.
