Finance overview

See what is collected, what is still due, and which finance items need attention.

Start here

Open Finance > Overview for a quick view of the laboratory's financial activity. The overview is a starting point for investigation; the underlying records remain in Transactions, Receivables, Cashier & Safes, and Reports.

The overview can show:

  • current activity and account balances;
  • revenue and expense movement;
  • cash held by account;
  • recent transactions; and
  • items needing attention, such as unreviewed transactions, reconciliation issues, cash variances, and overdue payer claims.

A simple daily routine

  1. Use Cashier & Safes to open shifts, collect payments, count cash, and close custody.
  2. Use Transactions to review posted activity, attach missing receipts, and reconcile eligible bank or payment accounts.
  3. Use Receivables to follow patient, payer, invoice, and partner-laboratory balances.
  4. Use Reports when you need a period, branch, account, payment-method, or category view.

Company and branch views

At company level, the overview combines the company's branches. At branch level, it focuses on that branch and its shared company accounts. If a number looks unexpected, open the related transaction or report before making a correction.

Only posted activity should be treated as final. Pending approvals, open cashier work, and unmatched statement lines still need review.
